This website was put together to document the home at 325 Glenwood Ave. It is a work in progress and expected to be that way for a long time. There are many projects that need to be completed on this house.

Some of the photographs on this site are panoramas and were created using a digital camera and a spherical pano head that I designed. Details of this setup can be found here.

Fine Art Photographs. Some of the images of the house are available here.

Below are some random details found throughout the house.

One of the two stained glass windows above the front stairs. We think the windows were added at a later date. They match the style of the fireplace in the front parlor which we think was added during the 20's when there were a bunch of renovations done to the house. The casing is 65x36 inches and the window is 57x31 inches.

Some of the old linoleum. We think that this was the kitchen floor from the 20's but all that was left was a small section in the hall outside the kitchen door. It's pretty dirty and it's age is showing but the pattern is really great.

This is the tile surrounding the fireplace in the dining room. We have not been able to find anything like it. We showed the picture to a few ceramists who told us it is wood fired salt glazed tile. We are in the process of looking for someone who can duplicate it for use in the kitchen. If you know anyone drop us a line.

Kitchen cabinet hardware. This deco hardware is really in pretty good shape for being 80 plus years old. The handles are chrome with bakelite accents and a push button in the center to unlatch the door. We have handles and hinges to do 18 or 19 cabinets. As soon as we have time we are going to clean them up and put them on ebay.

Cast Brass Hinges made by the Nashua Lock Co. About half of the doors in the house have these hinges. Most of them have been painted over so many times they are completely obscurred. Even the insignificant doors to closets in the attic have these or smaller matching hinges.

Front Door knobs and backplates. There are two sets of double doors at the front entrance. We have searched online for a matching pattern but as of yet have not found one. We do not know if these were made by the Nashua Lock Co. The design has similarities to the hinges shown below but they are certainly not a perfect match.

Front door design. The front doors have beveled glass in the upper half and the lower half has this sunburst design. I would like to repeat this design on the kitchen cabinets when we make the new cabinet doors.

Going down the back stairs to the kitchen. Main upstairs bathroom. This room is done in a "subway" tile.

This mirror was in the front hall right accross from the bottom of the stairs. It was stolen probably around 2003. We would love to recover it but it's not likely.

Sarah surprised us by commissioning this carving by artist Mary Shelley.
